By Train

Leicester lies on the Midland Mainline service:

London St Pancras-Sheffield-Leeds-York,
Birmingham-Nuneaton-Peterborough-Norwich-Stansted,
Coventry-Nottingham-Lincoln.

Approximate journey times and frequency of trains are from

London 75 minutes/twice per hour;
Sheffield 75 minutes/every 1 1/4 hours;
Birmingham 60 minutes/hourly.

College Hall is around 2.5 km (1.5 miles) from the station. A taxi from the station should cost under £x. Alternatively, a Leicester A-Z map can be had at the station for £x.45; College Hall is on pages 36-37, crossing squares 1D-1E.

By Taxi

Ask for College Hall on Knighton Road. Don't ask for the University: it's a separate site.

By Car

When travelling to College Hall do not follow signs for the University of Leicester, as they will direct you to the Main Campus 3 miles from the Halls.

Free car parking is available at College Hall for BiCon attenders.

From M1/M69

At Junction 21 (not 21a) or after roundabout at end of M69, filter left following directions for Leicester Ring Road, A563, eastbound. Filter left onto the A50/A5199 (Welford Road) northbound. Turn right at the second set of traffic lights into Chapel Lane, follow the road to the end, turn left into Knighton Road. The entrance to College Hall follows on the right shortly after the road bends to the right.

A6 from Loughborough

Follow A6 through City towards Market Harborough. Turn right at Knighton Road (traffic lights after a roundabout, opposite the left turn for the A6030). Take care following Knighton Road, the road turns first left and then right at two four-way junctions before reaching College Hall. The entrance to College Hall will be on the left.

A47 from Peterborough

Turn left into Spencefield Lane shortly after 'City of Leicester' sign. This becomes Evington Lane. After golf course on left (green tiles house on right), turn left at traffic lights into Stoughton Drive. Turn right at roundabout into A6030 (Stoughton Road), and go straight on at traffic lights across the A6 into Knighton Road. Take care following Knighton Road, the road turns first left and then right at two four-way junctions before reaching College Hall. The entrance to College Hall will be on the left.

A6 from Market Harborough

Follow A6 past junction with A563 (Outer Right Road) after Oadby. Turn left at the following traffic lights into Knighton Road (opposite the right turn for the A6030). Take care following Knighton Road, the road turns first left and then right at two four-way junctions before reaching College Hall. The entrance to College Hall will be on the left.

A50 from Northampton

Follow A50 past junction with A563 (Outer Ring Road). Turn right at the second set of traffic lights onto Chapel Lane, follow the road to the end, turn left into Knighton Road. The entrance to College Hall follows on the right shortly after the road bends to the right.
